I AM OFFENDED BY YOUR ARTICLE HOW CAN A LOVING GOD SEND ANYONE TO HELL. GOD LOVES EVERYONE AND THAT’S THE GOSPEL, NOT CONDEMNING PEOPLE TO HELL! PDF Print E-mail

Greetings in the precious Name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Thank you for your letter concerning my article: How Can a Loving God Send Anyone to Hell?

Of course, you are quite right to say that the free offer of the Gospel is made to all:Whosoever will come. Come unto Me all who are weary and heavily laden and I will give you rest. Come let us reason together, says the Lord, though your sins be as scarlet, yet they shall be as white as snow.

However, it is not that we are in danger of Judgment, but the wrath of God abides over the wicked already. We read that in John 3:36. I know that it is a popular statement that God loves the sinner but He hates the sin. That He actually loves everyone. However, it is not only our sin that will be cast into the lake of fire, but actual people in conscious torment over their transgressions and violation of God’s Holy Law.

As the Scriptures quoted in the article: How Can a Loving God Send Anyone to Hell? demonstrate the Bible clearly identifies individuals and categories of people that God hates. This may seem offensive to our egalitarian society, but it doesn’t make it any less true or Biblical. God says He loves Jacob but He hates Esau. (Malachi 1:2-3; Romans 9:13). Proverbs 16:19 tells us of 7 categories of people God hates: the proud, liars, murderers, the wicked, those who rush to do evil, false witnesses and those who sow discord among brethren.

Since my conversion over 33 years ago, I have been wholeheartedly involved in evangelism and missions, reaching the lost and confronting atheists, communists, Muslims and others with the saving Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. We praise God for His mercy in bringing many to Repentance and Faith in Christ.

May the Lord continue to be your joy and strength.

Yours for the fulfillment of the Great Commission
