WHY CAN’T YOUR E-UPDATES BE SHORTER? PDF Print E-mail

Greetings in the precious Name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Thank you very much for your email.  We always greatly appreciate critical feedback.

We fully understand that we live in a media saturated society where people are very distracted and very bombarded with more information than anyone can possibly give full attention to.

We also understand that most of the mass media is short and superficial.

However, we have received so much positive feedback from a wide spectrum of people, literally from all over the world, who appreciate our Bible studies, articles, sermons, lectures and news releases.

We understand that everybody must make choices on the media that they focus on, the websites they chose to visit, the books they chose to buy or read, the DVDs they watch, etc.

Those who are not interested in a particular email of ours can delete it.  Those who would rather file it for future use will be grateful for the study or research.

Many of those on our e-mailing lists are pastors, teachers, evangelists, chaplains, radio presenters, activists, etc.  We try to be thoughtful in our selection of materials, providing meaty articles, studies or sermons when such subjects would be most appropriate.

For example, the study that you have responded to:  Evidences for the Resurrection, in the week before Easter.  We have already received numerous responses from people appreciating this and stating their intention of using this for their Bible study, Sunday service, etc.

Especially for African contacts who do not have their own home computer, but use an internet Café, they find this format most helpful, as they can print out and take the full study, lecture or sermon as they leave and use it in their class or church.

We do not expect everyone on our emailing list to appreciate, or read, every single article sent out, but the world is bombarding us with humanistic propaganda and anti-Christian material. We are responsible to counter this dis-information with positive Christian education.  We are seeking to empower activists, teachers, pastors, evangelists and presenters throughout Africa, and even further afield, with material that can enable them to be more effective in applying the Lordship of Jesus Christ to all areas of life.

Yes, we do have these and many more articles available on our website, but these are like the books in our library and in our book shop.  They are available, but the fact is that most people don’t walk in off the street into a Christian book shop and only a very small percentage make use of the libraries.

That is why we regularly arrange mass literature distribution at traffic lights and street corners, host a weekly radio programme, Salt and Light, publish regular Christian Action magazines, contribute articles to JOY! Magazine, print tracts and publish books, produce audio visual materials, etc.

We must use every means possible to spread the light of the Gospel throughout this dark world.  We are the salt of the earth in a very decadent time.

We are not offended if you do not have the time to read all of the materials we send out, but we cannot do less than we are doing, especially when so many continue to encourage us to empower them with the information and research that they can use to Evangelise and make disciples of their community.

May the Lord continue to be your joy and strength.

Yours for the fulfillment of the Great Commission
