YOUR INVICTUS REVIEW SHOWS THAT YOU MUST BE ONE OF THOSE WHITES WHO RAPED THIS LAND AND ITS PEOPLE UNDER APARTHEID. THE ANC WERE NOT TERRORISTS. THEY WERE FREEDOM FIGHTERS. GO BACK TO YOUR BROEDEBOND YOU’RE NO CHRISTIAN PDF Print E-mail

Thank you for your critical response to our Invictus Idolatry Film Review. In the free market place of ideas you are welcome to read what interests you, and to ignore or delete what does not. There are many people who have requested our reviews on films that claim to be a true story. Most responses that we have received so far have been positive, appreciating the balance and perspective presented in this review.

Under the old National Party regime anyone who criticized the government could be accused of being a communist. Today anyone who criticized the ANC government is accused of being a racist.

Instead of dealing with the facts and issues raised, you have presumed to attack the person who wrote the article. This is what we call an Ad Hominim argument - where you ignore the issues and rather attack the messenger.

You clearly know nothing about me. No, I did not reap the benefits of apartheid, not did I rape the land and its people! I have served suffering Christians throughout Africa for the last 30 years. I have seen hundreds of churches burned down, burned out and desecrated by Marxist and Muslim regimes as far afield as Mozambique, Angola, Zimbabwe, the Congo, Nigeria and Sudan. I have been imprisoned and tortured in communist countries. I have waded knee deep in corpses in church buildings in Rwanda. And I have come under fire, artillery, mortar and rocket bombardment, and been bombed by the Sudan Air Force while ministering in church services.

You do not know how much I opposed the previous government, nor apparently have you read any of the books and articles which I have written in opposition to the National Party. I’m on record as having opposed apartheid and abortion.

Unfortunately, nowhere in your letter do you point out any factual error or inaccuracy in my review. It would be far more constructive to be objective and deal with facts instead of throwing insults and condemning the messenger.

I have never had anything to do with the Broederbond. I have dedicated my life to serving the people of Africa and I think you need to make sure of your facts before you throw venom at a brother in Christ.

I trust that you have read 1 John recently and noticed what it says about those who say that they love God, but hate their brother?

I would urge you to consider the fact that over 900,000 innocent babies have been killed, in South Africa, officially and legally, with tax payers’ money, since Nelson Mandela signed into law the abortion-on-demand legislation, 1 February 1997.

I would also urge you to consider the results of the legalisation of pornography and the many tens of thousands of women and children who have been raped since then.

True Christianity is loving our neighbours and caring for even the least of these. What have you been doing to love your neighbour, in practice?

May the Lord continue to lead you into all truth.

Yours for Faith and freedom

Dr. Peter Hammond
