“WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOU CHRISTIANS AND YOUR MUSLIM JIHADIST BUDDIES?” PDF Print E-mail

Dear Friend

Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Thank for your letter concerning Paganism and Europe. I certainly can agree with you that a lot of what masquerades as the “church” today is “pathetic, infantile.” As Jesus Christ said: “not everyone who calls Me ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only those who do the will of My Father in Heaven.”

I must correct your misunderstanding. The Islamic Jihaddists are not our “buddies”.Islam has been the greatest enemy of the Christian church throughout the last fourteen centuries, and we do need to recognise that the Christians fought to protect Europe from waves of Islamic invasions. It was Christian soldiers, particularly in 732 AD at Poiteries in France, under Charles Martel ‘The Hammer’ who roused the Christian Knights of Europe to withstand six furious cavalry charges of the Muslim invaders and throw them out of France saving the heart of Europe from Islamic subjugation. It was also Christian soldiers who protected Vienna in the 16 th and 17 th centuries from the Turks, and Christian sailors who defeated the Turkish Navy at the Battle of Lepanto, 1571, saving Europe from being overrun by Islamicist Jihaddists and their Sharia law.

You cannot deny that Western Civilization has been blessed with the greatest freedoms, productivity and prosperity ever known in history. The liberty, standards of justice and creativity enjoyed in Western Civilisation is the direct result of the Protestant Reformation of the 16th century. The Protestant doctrine of The Priesthood Of All Believers became the foundation for modern representive republics. Their Equality of Men Before God and the Law undermined the absolutism of monarchs and popes who set themselves above the Law. Instead of the prevailing “Rex-Lex” (the king is the law), the Reformers championed “Lex-Rex” (the Law is king)!) No one is above God’s Law.

‘Sola Scriptura’ eroded the foundations of Ecclesiastical and political totalitarianism. The social implications of the Reformation were enormous. Religious liberty, freedom of conscience, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of association - all the out workings of political and social freedom - flowed out of the Back to the Bible Revival of the 16 th century.

It was the Evangelical Christians who over 200 years ago brought about the abolition of the slave trade by the British Parliament. Most of the languages in the world were first codified and put into writing by Christian missionaries. More schools and universities have been founded by Christians than by any other group, nation or religion. Christian Reformers and missionaries succeeded in bringing about the abolition of slavery, cannibalism, child sacrifice and widow burning. Those countries which enjoy the most civil liberties are those lands where the Gospel of Christ has penetrated the most.

I would recommend that you restudy your great History. The Protestant Reformation made Europe the greatest, richest, freest and most powerful continent in the world. As Europe has lost much of it’s Christian roots, it has been invaded by a revived paganism and a new Islamic threat.

May God be merciful to lead you into all Truth.
