Dear Friends

Greetings in the precious Name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW SEMINARS

We have been involved with running quite a few Biblical Worldview Seminars over the past few weeks. At the request of Pastor Elton Young, I ran an Introduction to the Biblical Worldview in the Dunoon Black Township one Saturday morning. Brothers and sisters in Christ, only three weeks old in their faith, struggled through understanding the application of the Lordship of Christ in some areas – they encouraged me to come back as soon as possible to teach them more.

Just before I left on my US speaking tour, I spoke in another Township about 800km’s away from home – about 40 people attended and the next morning in church I received a massive hug from a Mama who thanked me for coming and said that the teaching was already bearing fruit.

At the request of the ACDP, a Christian political party, my colleagues ran another BWS whilst I was in the USA. One friend, Afrika, e-mailed me to say: “The opportunity to come to Cape Town was more than worthy it. Thanks a lot.”

SUMMIT

In the US I was encouraged by the excellent work that is being done to influence the next generation of leaders by Summit Ministries. One week with this excellent ministry was not enough. Summit prepares young people in Biblical Worldview thinking to prepare them for school, college or university. Dr. David Noebel has been doing a fantastic job running the ministry for 40 years. We, in Cape Town, run a similar Summit, based on the US organisation, to prepare our youth for life. I had the opportunity to speak at the US conference and was really blessed by interaction with the students.

THE SHOOTISTS

My friend Jim introduced me to The Shootists, a group of professional people from all walks of life who have similar interests in firearms. They are made up of people who are lawyers, clergy, teachers, businessmen, farmers, ranchers, law enforcement personnel, judges, writers, artists, computer programmers, and those in the firearms industry to name but a few. They look for people of integrity, with character and conviction, whose word can be trusted. Those who would "stand in the gap" or who could be described as someone you could "ride the river with".

I joined them on a tour of a privately owned military museum in Colorado and a new friend, Tedd, kindly introduced me to my first US gun show. Well, shooting with these guys, riding a motocross bike and a 4 wheeler were more than one could ask for.

Back home, I have, on behalf of our Firearm News ministry to firearm owners, sent in a report to government on the proposed regulations governing the draconian Firearms Control Act. Another submission I completed was to the City authorities with respect to Sexually Orientated Businesses. We were also blessed by the early closing of a disgraceful art display after our challenge to the models of bestiality, rape, orgies, etc. which was masquerading as art.

At present we are running our Great Commission Course, which started with a 4-day camp. At this course we train attendees in cross-cultural missions and prepare them for the grueling task of taking the Great Commission into the war torn areas of Africa. Our attendees came from Canada, the US, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Nigeria and RSA.

We have been doing outreaches in various communities around Cape Town including Khayelitsha with the youth I often work with. This church has had 5 firearm rounds shot into their building lately and a nursery school teacher, who works at the churches crèche, shot on her way to work: she lived – praise the Lord.

FAMILY

Sonja and the children are doing very well. Jason (2) is totally convinced that he is a soldier and marches around with his plastic sword and often shoots the baddies with his plastic firearms. John-Marc (9mths) has started crawling and Roberta (6) is enjoying her fun filled school holidays.

Thank you for your support of the work we do, evangelizing, discipling and standing for righteousness and truth in Africa. Please pray for us as we run the Great Commission Course and train up new missionaries to disciple the nations, teaching obedience to God’s Word.

Psalm 47:7a “For God is the King of all the earth;..”

Yours, for the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
