Dear Friends
Greetings
in the Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour.
February
2003 started off with Africa Christian Action doing
a funeral procession demonstration to Parliament in
remembrance of the babies murdered by abortion in
South Africa. When the procession arrived at Parliament
I led the prayer meeting outside the gates.
14th
February was Roberta's surprise birthday party. A
few days later I helped her school with a cycle race,
which they run as a fundraiser. I was a medical driver.
This was really great fun, meeting with so many Christian
parents in our community.
On
the 17 February my friend and colleague, Rob, was
hi-jacked outside his own home near the Frontline
Fellowship office. He is fine and has much reason
to praise the Lord that he and his family are still
alive and well.
We
managed to sneak away for a few days with wonderful
family friends to a holiday home of Sonja's sister
- we enjoyed great fellowship and a good rest.
March
started with the Aim Shooters Show, which we attended
in Johannesburg to sell Christian books (including
Shooting Back) and distribute Firearm News, our ministry
to firearm owners. The opportunities for ministry
were endless! I spoke to an Atheist, a Jewish couple,
a Buddhist and Christians - all in a matter of 2 days.
The
same weekend we held a Salt and Light Training Seminar,
on invitation of a local church. I gave my testimony
on the Ministry opportunities amongst APLA terrorists
at the church that Sunday evening.
It
was after this service and on my way to the after-service
that Sonja phoned to let me know that we had lost
our baby, she had a miscarriage. This was devastating
news and I was immediately ordered home by our director
to help with the trauma. Our church friends were absolutely
wonderful as were the members of the church I was
visiting. I flew home the next morning. (Sitting in
a plane on the runway for 2 hours before we took off.)
Sonja
is coping well with the trauma. We found the D and
C especially traumatic, but made sure the hospital
did not record the procedure as an abortion.
I
did not make it to the KwaSizabantu Ministers' Conference
with all this happening.
I
taught at our church Sunday School last month and
also at a Bible Study at the Khayelitsha youth group
we often do ministry with, on Wednesday afternoons
for a few weeks. Teaching the youth is always great
fun.
I've
also delivered boxes of Bibles to a lady I met at
the APLA meeting I spoke at in January and we are
preparing to distribute many more Bibles in our townships
in the near future. I'll hopefully be having lunch
with Letlapa sometime soon. Please pray for this APLA
Commander, that he might bend the knee to King Jesus.
Roberta
has a medical condition, Hyper Dystrophy. Her one
leg is 2,25 cm longer than the other and this is affecting
her hips and back - she has started medical treatment
to help with this condition. Please pray for her,
that all will go well.
Our
radio ministry is going well and I'm looking forward
to my US speaking tour from 23 May to 9 June 2003.
Should
you be able to invite a few friends around to your
home and allow me to share the Frontline Fellowship
testimony and vision with them, I'd really appreciate
the invitation. I'll try my best to get to your area.
