Bombing of Refugees
Volume 2 1988
In June 1988, Mig jets and Ml-24 Hind helicopters of the Marxist Frelimo air force attacked refugees assembled at landing zones, of the International Committee of the Red Cross, in NORTH MOZAMBIQUE.
Several hundred tribesmen were massacred in these attacks on the villages of
Molumbo, Derre, Mulevale and Lugela in ZAMBEZIA province and Tambara in MANICA province of Mozambique. These aerial bombardments were supported by elements of the Zimbabwe Air Force.
