A Letter from a Sudanese Christian
Volume 2 1990
Dear Friends of Frontline Fellowship,
My warmest greetings to you in Christ. I thank you very much for your newsletter, which I
have enjoyed for the past two years. I hope you know about Sudan from your Director whom
I met in 1987. I read in your Newsletter (1988/2) how you speak up for the Christians in
Sudan. The world forgets about the Christians who are suffering in Sudan.
Mr Mandela is a friend to Libya and an enemy of Africa. Please tell him that Libya is one of the worst enemies of the black man. They are killing South Sudanese now and dividing Sudan into black Africans and “blue Arabs” — a colour never heard of. If you go to Sudan you find out that the black Muslims call themselves blue people (Nath El Zuruk) and the black Christians are called black people (Nath El Sud). The Muslims attack our villages on raids and take our people into slavery. Yes, until this day slavery still exists in the Muslim world — especially in Sudan. But the world turns a deaf ear to this.
I appeal to you as brothers in Christ to turn world attention to this problem. Even so called “Christian” governments are giving arms and aid to these “blue” Muslims to kill Christians. And Libya is fanatically involved. Two jet fighters from Libya were captured recently by our resistance fighters in Sudan.
I myself am now in prison for defending myself against a Muslim terrorist. So remember me in your prayers.
Brother John
